I must not have slept well last night because I didn't do as well today as I did yesterday. I did manage to do 20 push ups, but I took a short breath (maybe 2 seconds) between each 10. I needed more short breathers in general today. It was a little disheartening, but today's measurements picked me up!
My biceps are up 1/4", thighs are up 1/4". my waist is down 2 1/4" and I am adding my hips into the mix. They are at 43 3/4".
I have also decided not to fixate my my weight at this point in time. I still want to get down to the 140s, but right now more than anything, I just want to lose some inches, which I am already doing.
I still plan to move on to level 2 on day 11, 4 more days to kick some ass!
Today was invigorating. I really pushed myself. I managed to do 19 girly push ups without stopping.
When I woke up this morning, I wasn't sore at all. It was really great! I think I'll be ready to move on to level 2 soon! I look forward to seeing what that has in store!
Day 3 wasn't easier than day 2. Those push ups and the dumbbell raises with the side lunges are KILLING ME!!! I find that those are the only times I take a break. Once or twice in each set of push ups and raises with lunges.
My calves are still on fire from yesterday. I can really feel it. After the workout yesterday I could barely sit and stand because my muscles in my legs were so sore. I look forward to my arm strength catching up with my leg strength!
I have successfully completed day 2. My knee didn't hurt nearly as bad, but I could feel it in my muscles still from yesterday. My legs felt like Jell-O so I even had to take the elevator to my classes on the 2nd floor!
Instead of buying a brace, I bought some IcyHot. I can already feel it working after my workout.
Day 2 was easier than day 1, but I still had to do it the beginner style. My biggest struggle was the push ups. Of course, I've always sucked at push ups.
I'm adding a goal! I want to be able to do 15 REAL push ups by the end of the 30DS.
Well, I just finished day 1 of the 30DS. It didn't kick my ass as much as I expected it to. I honestly didn't have too tough of a time. In the whole 20 minutes, I took maybe 8 or 9 of the five-second breathers Jillian talks about.
It is not easy, I will definitely say that. I also will say that finishing it is really invigorating!
I would suggest that if you have any issues with your knees, get a brace. My knee was killing me halfway through. I need to get a brace in the next couple of days.
